Rachel & Gino's Wedding Reception

All the way back in 2017, I had the privilege of shooting Vickie & André’s wedding in Shediac. When Rachel was planning her wedding in Niagara, unfortunately I wasn’t available to come out there to cover it (while the wedding I had in NB was also pretty great, it’s always disappointing when you can’t do All the weddings you want to! Even if I cloned myself, I still don’t have enough cameras to cover two weddings at once…yet 😏). But after their dream destination wedding in central Canada (although I wasn’t there, I’m sure it was pretty great), they had to have a local reception for all their family and friends who couldn’t make it out, and thankfully it all came together for me this time!

The tent was set on family property, and oh boy, what a tent! Perhaps “temporary tarpaulin palace” would be a better name for the gorgeous structure, which was decorated to perfection by Shawn at The Designer’s Den.

Things started out with just family members, some family pictures, some classy sandwiches, and some fun with the wedding party. Then extended family and friends from all over were welcomed in, and the party started. Speeches, more great food, games and dances, along with some fantastic live music to keep everything moving along.

Although the day was thickly overcast, at one moment, just before sunset, the clouds broke. We ran into the field across the road for a few couples photos in the five minutes before the sun disappeared again.

We set up a photo booth for the latter portion of the night, and things got a little crazy there near the end (as they typically do at the photo booth…and as is also typical, most of those pictures will never see the internet, I suspect 😏), and the whole night was a blast.

Congratulations Rachel & Gino! And thank you so much for inviting me to your gorgeous Maritime reception!
