Shelby & Michael's Wedding
Let’s drive into the country.
And let’s take some wedding photos.
And let’s start (as usual) with the ladies. All gathered together in the upstairs bedroom:
The groom and his crew were already mostly ready by the time I got there, so most of what I captured were shenanigans instead of buttons and clasps…which is just fine by me ;)
In an open, windswept field by the winery, they tied the knot before row on row of family and friends.
We wandered around the fields and crops grown to be fermented (I can’t quite remember what they were, but there was quite a variety of things), looking for all the best little niches to get some great photos.
Then the happy couple and I wandered off down the wooded trail to find something new. Along the way, after having rolled around on the ground to get the shot (as usual), I briskly brushed the grass off my pants, and in the process flung my wedding band into the bushes. “Oh no! My ring!” as soon as they had heard what I said, Michael then chimed in. “Oh wait, mine’s gone, too!” The next 15 minutes were spent searching for Both of our rings. I guess I can take credit for finding his ring? Had I not lost mine, he might not have ever noticed his had fallen off in the forest!
Once we had our acts (and our rings) together again, we headed off to the Lion’s hall for the big shindig. The party started fast, and the speeches were met with uproarious laughter and applause.
And I don’t want to point any fingers, but someone spilled an entire glass of beer on my camera case…thankfully it’s waterproof, so no harm, no foul ;)
Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your big day, Shelby & Michael! And congratulations again!
