7artisans 25mm f/0.95 Lens Review

Now that you’ve heard my thoughts on the 7artisans 25mm f/0.95 lens, feel free to have a look at some image samples below at your own pace.

First we start off with a studio shoot with Roumy using studio lighting and highly controlled circumstances, and then we head outside for some natural light shots.

A sunset shoot with Glimmer Cosplay, unfortunately resulting in a lot of PDAF sensor banding, shown in the 100% crop at the end.

Then we’ll take a trip to the nature park with the family for some personal and landscape photos.

Now a series of bokeh testing images with decreasing apertures, f/0.95 1.4 2 2.8 4 5.6 8 11 16, then a 100% crop of just the logo.

Infinity focus sharpness test with decreasing apertures f/0.95 1.4 2 2.8 4 5.6 8 11 16. Notice the rather extreme colour shift when wide open. All images taken at a fixed 5600k white balance. Then a 100% crop of the corner and the center.

Close focus sharpness test with decreasing apertures f/0.95 1.4 2 2.8 4 5.6 8 11 16, then a 100% crop of the center and corner.

High contrast aperture test with increasing apertures f/0.95 1.4 2 2.8 4 5.6 8 11 16. At least the lack of contrast at wider aperture helps a bit with shadow recovery. Also known as low contrast.
