Katia & Terry's Wedding

Today’s beautiful wedding both starts and ends at the lovely Webster House in Shediac, NB. The weather today is just perfect, and this time there weren’t even any storms on the horizon! Although perfect weather can sometimes make for “less exciting” photos (or maybe I just hate doing things the easy way? 😏), that’s certainly not the case today.

The ladies are prepping in the huge, beautiful sun room downstairs, while the men were in the upper floors ironing and joking about … but honestly putting more thought into their prep than usual. These guys were committed to really pulling it off!

Once everyone was ready, they all carefully switched places. The men assembled at the foot of the stairs, and the ladies had a lovely reveal down the grand staircase, finishing with a tear jerking first look between the bride and groom.

Then we all headed outside into the beautiful summer day for some ‘formal photos’. It’s in quotes because it’s often rarely anything but formal… usually just the outfits ;) So much fun was had by everyone, the time flew by as we explored the beautiful grounds of the Webster House.

Then we headed down the lane and across the street for some photos by the river. Because what’s a maritime wedding without some water?

After that everyone went back inside for just a little downtime before the ceremony. I had assumed we were well cloistered, as is tradition before the ceremony, but it turns out we weren’t, with family and friends all sneaking inside to preemptively congratulate the very happy couple ;)

Once everyone was finally corralled into the outdoor ceremony space, it was time for the main event to begin!

It’s hard to express how scenic this spot was. The tall rustling trees perfectly covering the whole area, with family and friends looking on with such joy. After the ceremony we took a quick walk through down the wooded path to gather behind the house for a garden party. Drinks and toasts and cheers and some classic guitar riffs filled the air.

While this was taking place the reception tent received its finishing touches, and I managed to get a quick peek before everyone came to take their seats. After the speeches we could see that a gorgeous sunset was happening across the river, so we snuck out for a few couples’ photos. But soon discovered the whole wedding party had followed us to join in on the fun.

And then the dancing! What a great party, both young and old (although you don’t get to see it here, so many super cute kids did their best out on the dance floor that night!)

What a perfect day and place for a wedding. Congratulations Terry & Katia!
