Laura & Chad’s Wedding - Halifax Wedding Photographer
It was the perfect day for a wedding in Halifax, NS. We start our day out in the suburbs of Halifax where Laura and her crew were getting ready. The house was packed with bridal party members and family (and myself and the videography crew). Everyone was in such bright spirits that it was contagious and wonderful to be a part of it all.
We cap off our bridal prep with a moving first look in the back yard between the bride and her father. Then it was time to hit the road for the church!
But since there were so many beautiful details, we’re going to take a pause and give them their own little gallery here first ;)
Back at the hotel while all this was going on, Chad and his crew were also getting ready - though they may have gotten started a little later 😏
Alright let’s finally get to West End Baptist Church for the main event! But also: those rose pedals, wow!
After that amazing moment, it’s time to head out on a bit of a whirlwind of sites and photos! First to Citadel Hill for some formal photos. The limo dropped us off at the top of Citadel and then we photographically wandered around the hill, before heading back to the limo for a few photos inside (and in the A/C! Whew!)
Next a quick pop in to The Westin Nova Scotian to check in on the reception hall. It wasn’t planned for, but after seeing the gorgeous empty space I couldn’t help but quickly set up a couple lights to take some dramatic portraits with them.
Next we’ll head to the Halifax Public Gardens for wedding party, family, and still a few more couples photos (never enough if you ask me). The sun shimmering through the leaves and in the damp grass was just gorgeous that day!
Rule number one: The ducks must be photographed (there are hundreds more photos you haven’t seen in these galleries). To be clear, those hundreds of photos are not All ducks - just some.
Finally we’ll round things out at Point Pleasant Park for some epic water and sky photos.
Okay it’s finally, Finally time to head back to the reception at The Westin Nova Scotian. They were kind enough to decorate the hall to perfection for us, so I suppose it would be rude of us not to ;)
What a gorgeous glittering reception! So much dancing and celebrating, silly stories and songs and - well, you get the picture. And I’ll save the many guests who performed some extravagant dances for the couple from having Those photos shared. You just had to be there.
