Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 Review

Viltrox has slowly been creating an entire lineup of lenses for Sony e-mount and Fuji x-mount (and now Nikon Z-mount!), but they have a new, lighter weight line of lenses they're doubling down on more recently - the Air series. The 56 1.7 is a cheap and light APS-C lens, but in a Very crowded ~50mm space, does it have what it takes to carve out its own niche? Let's find out!

Now that you’ve heard my thoughts on the new Viltrox 56 1.7, feel free to take a minute to browse some image samples, many of which I didn’t have time to fit into the video. We’ll start out with our unabridged cat’s eye bokeh test, and a few sunstars for good measure.

Then the rest of the studio shoot with Vee https://www.instagram.com/vee._.pink

Many of these are uncropped and cropped, just to show how much you can do with this lens even on full frame.
